Independence
HR Community is an independent editorial publication. No vendor pays for a place in any ranking, comparison or profile, and no vendor reviews our content before publication. Our statutory guides and calculators are drawn from the Acts, regulations and Inland Revenue, EPF and Labour Department publications, not from any software vendor's documentation.
How we rank software
Every vendor is scored on the same six criteria:
- Statutory payroll: native EPF, ETF, APIT, T10 and C-Form output.
- Attendance to payroll: biometric devices, shifts, rosters, overtime and no-pay from attendance.
- Published pricing: a vendor that publishes prices outranks a quote-only vendor of equal capability.
- Independent evidence: G2, Capterra and app store reviews, and named customers with headcounts.
- Fit by size: proven at the headcount it is recommended for.
- Support and implementation: local team, parallel run, migration.
Rankings are editorial judgements on those criteria, not a formula, and we publish the reasoning on each page. No single vendor is ranked first at every company size, because no single vendor fits every size.
What we will not do
- Present a vendor claim as a verified fact. Claims such as “99% accuracy” are attributed or left out.
- Invent a feature we could not find documented. Undocumented capabilities are shown as “not published”.
- Hide the cons of any vendor.
- Accept payment for placement in any ranking, profile or comparison.
- Place sponsored or commercial content inside editorial text.
How we check facts
Vendor facts come from the vendor's own website, price list and documentation, and from independent review platforms. Each vendor profile shows the source URL and the date we last checked it. Statutory rates come from the Acts, gazetted regulations and Inland Revenue Department, EPF Department and Labour Department publications listed under “Sources” on each guide. When a rate changes, we update the guide, the calculators and the date.
Corrections and vendor requests
Email [email protected]. A vendor may ask for its profile to be re-checked at any time. We update the profile with what we can verify, refresh the check date and do not charge.
